Membership is $35 a year. It keeps the club running and brings discounts, lectures, library access, and a vote in how the club is run.
How to join
- Fill in the form below. It takes a minute and tells us how to reach you.
- Pay your $35 dues by cash or check at any club night. Make checks payable to Greensboro Chess Club.
- You're in. Your membership runs for a year from the day you join.
Not sure yet? You don't need to be a member to play. Come to a free Friday or Saturday first and decide later.

Club membership and US Chess membership are different
The $35 above supports the Greensboro Chess Club. To play in our rated Wednesday tournaments you also need a US Chess membership, which is separate and paid to US Chess directly. Join US Chess.
